Two autistic children moved to a more suitable institution in Athens

In March two autistic children from KEPEP Lechaina were transfered to PIKPA Voula, a state run institution near Athens, where they found an environment that can meet their needs more. PIKPA Voula has a volunteers program and offers a wide range of therapeutic and educational aid.

The two children who have been living in cage beds or closed rooms for 10 years since the age of 3, will need some time to get settled but they already started to explore their new environment and to go in interaction with the volunteers.
